Welcome

{Small Batch Goodness was previously Misleading Brands}

Welcome curious souls. I started Misleading Brands driven by my dissappoinment of the hyper processing & poisoning of our food and everyday household products. This living knowledge base leverages my expertise in deep research to increase consumer awareness - one product at a time. Misleading Brands dives not just into the ingredients but also the manufacturing process used in making these products. In doing so I similarly urge you, the consumer, to look beyond just the front labels and the often misleading marketing copy.

My Mission

My goal is certainly not to vilify the companies behind the misleading brands or the thousands of hardworking people they employ. However, the goal certainly is to drive awareness at all levels and thus incentivize positive change. An aware consumer can also be the catalyst that helps the people fighting for this very change via the legal process & class action lawsuits.

Backed by Extensive Research

It’s an honor to bring to light extensive past studies on ingredients, processes and toxicity in our food chain. One example is Paul Stitt’s book Fighting the Food Giants, which covers the harmful extrusion process used in making cereals, amongst other topics. Another key study is Jachimowicz’s work in 1975 titled “Problematic der verwenung von invertzucker fur die bienenfutterung,” which covers the deadly effects of feeding sugar syrup containing Hydroxymethylfurfural to bees in commercial beekeeping practices. Misleading Brands will continue unearthing research of this type as I expand on the original content. I look forward to your feedback as I continue the important work.
